Last week Geoffrey & Grace and the other makers at Margot got some very exciting news…
Margot has been shortlisted for a Mollie Makes Handmade Award!
When I received the email to tell me, I was cooking Bailey’s dinner and I jumped around the kitchen giggling in disbelief. I had to read the email another three times for the news to properly sink in.
I mentioned in my last Styling the Seasons that I wanted to get more house plants for our home. It’s a bit of a new area for me, I’m ok with growing things in the garden, but plants for inside the house I find a bit more of a challenge. I thought some help and inspiration might be in order, and you can imagine my delight when I came across the lovely Urban Jungle Bloggers, who’s mission is to share plant shaped ideas by the bucket load. Stemming from their love of plants and interiors, Igor Josifiovic of Happy Interior Blog and Judith de Graaff of JOELIX.com, wanted to gather together an online community of plant lovers and folk who wish to be a little green fingered.
April means two things to me. As the Easter holidays fall during April, it always reminds me of spending extra time with family. It’s also the time the magnolia trees blossom. Here on the South Coast of England there are about 3-4 glorious weeks, when I get to witness the magnolia buds appearing, opening and then the petals gently falling from the trees. It’s one of my favourite things of the year, as suddenly the trees burst into life and colour.
Look at these lovely lovely children’s shoes! They are from a British company called Young Soles. I have been hankering after a pair for Bailey for about 6 months now, and last week I got very ‘happy post’ indeed as a box with these turned up on my door.
These are the Rosie T-Bar in Chestnut Brown and I absolutely love them. In fact, if they did mummy ones to match, I would have bought myself a pair too.
They come in three other colours, but the brown are my favourite. I love the T-bar strap, and the butterfly punch detail is just perfect.
I am so delighted to be in the latest issue of 91 Magazine.
Leigh Metcalf came to photograph the house back at the beginning of autumn just before we packed up. She also popped down to Margot on one of the windiest days ever. She still managed to take some lovely photos of our beach hut makery, despite the weather.
