It’s been a while since I shared any of the wonderful photographs that are captured using the hashtag #slowlivingforlife, so I thought I would pop in with some Winter favourites. Here are a selection of images that make me exhale and feel calm just by looking at them.
Today, the 22nd of April, is Earth day; A chance to think about this wonderful planet of ours that we all call home. The Earth Day movement was created 46 years ago to spread awareness to make sure we are all doing what we can to reduce our impact on the world, keeping this incredible revolving rock of ours healthy and thriving for generations to come.
Sarah-Lou from Lapinblu and I have organised an Instameet for this Saturday the 23rd of April to coincide with celebrating Earth Day and to help make others aware of the Earth Day movement. If you are a regular reader you will know about my love for Instagram, not only because it’s a place to share wholehearted moments captured through photography, but also because it is a social network that has a wonderful sense of community. Instameets are a great opportunity to connect with some of the brilliantly creative people you get to know online, in real life.

Thanks to all that joined in throughout January and shared their slow living renew moments. It was so engaging to see the different ways people find that sense of renewal. Looking back over the gallery you can see similar colours and tones reoccurring, which I find really interesting. To think a diverse selection of people from all over the world, living in different seasons, can take a word like ‘renew’, and although their visual interpretation is independant and unique, there is also a common thread that connects all the images together. I don’t know about you… but to me that’s pretty inspiring!
Below is a selection of my favourite images that were shared under #slowliving_renew. These moments really caught my eye, and show us just how many ways there are to renew…

Slow living moments captured – create
For September the focus of our slow living project over on Instagram, has been on moments where we ‘create’. I have been so inspired by how creative people have been, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing little snippets of everyone’s creativity. It’s been really interesting to notice the different interpretation of the word, and how people go about finding creative moments in their everyday.
Today I am sharing a small selection of images from the grid, as there were several things that struck me about slow living and creativity, and I wanted to touch on a few of them.
