Happy New Year to you all. I feel like I could hibernate for another month, but life and reality have been calling to me this last week, and I am gradually easing myself back into things.
After a blogging and Instagram break, I feel like I have lost my voice a little, and ironically I actually did lose my voice, and have been croaking my way through this week.
I like to start the year by reflecting back at the previous year, I have also been thinking about what is coming up in 2017, what I am hoping to fill my year with, and what dreams I would like to nurture.
Well, November has been a real mixed bag. There have been great things happening work wise, and at the beginning of the month there was a floury of social activity. However, there have been some real lows too, and about half way through the month I wanted to crawl into bed and stay there until the new year.
Here’s the monthly voice for November, including what we’ve been up to, and what we’ve been loving…
Here is the Monthly Voice for May, mostly it was full of lovely things.
The recently re-launched 91 magazine came out mid May and it was lovely to see my work in print. I had the pleasure of writing, styling and photographing the ‘Cook and Craft feature’. It’s a piece about three different makes using beetroot; a recipe for chocolate and beetroot cake, instructions on how to dye some cotton napkins, and a ‘how to’ craft your own gift tags using the beetroot leaves. It’s still available to buy in print here, and you can also buy a digital copy here. Here’s a sneaky peek below…
It’s taken me a little longer to get round to reflecting on 2015 than I thought it might. This is partly due to being distracted with plans for restoring our home, but more on that later.
2015 was a year to let the dust settle on all the changes that happened in 2014. The year didn’t quite pan out like I expected, (when does it ever though?) and I found myself discovering new priorities and a new focus.
Here’s a look at what 2015 looked like for Geoffrey & Grace…
If you are as in love with a doily as I am, and would like something a bit crafty to occupy those creative hands on a cold January day, why not try one of the following doily DIYs?
I was really thrilled to have my first Designer Makes featured in the latest issue of the oh so lovely 91 Magazine.
