Utility – lovely things for your home

Sharing one of my favourite home-ware shops this week.shop sign on the Geoffrey & Grace blog

Utility is a fantastic little store, situated in the heart of Brighton. It sells ‘no-nonsense household goods’ made by Utility themselves, and by other independent manufacturers. If you are not Sussex based, do not fear as they also have an online shop. Here are some pictures I took on a recent visit.

I would argue though that all the bits and pieces in Utility are very attractive too, and on top of that, they actually all have a very specific lovely style to them.William Morris poster - on the Geoffrey & Grace blog

On my last visit I bought some little enamel cups for Bailey, a biscuit jar with a fantastic orange lid, and the nicest wooden toilet brush and enamel holder I ever did see.

I could quite happily stock out my whole kitchen and larder with the selection of crockery, cutlery, storage jars and enamel ware that they sell.

Do pop over and have a look at their site. I’m sure you will find something you very much want, which will also turn out to be something you very much need. Isn’t that’s the best kind of shopping?

Have fun.

  • Oh I love that shop! Always pay a visit when I’m in Brighton. The displays are quite beautiful. Managed to come away only with wooden spoons that I actually needed on my last visit – very restrained I thought!

Yes, that does sound restrained. Well done you Xx
