styling the seasons

styling the seasons octoberHello, it’s been a busy few weeks. Hope you are all well? Things are still a bit manic here with the move! It has been two of the most stressful weeks ever! Please keep your fingers crossed, that it is plain(ish) sailing from here.

I wanted to stop by for a quick, “Hi, hello, how are you” and join in with ‘Styling the seasons’. Katy from Apartment Apothecary (who you may remember from the blog hop), along with Charlotte, another clever blogger and maker, from Lotts and Lots blog, came up with a lovely simple idea. Our homes can often look the same for most of the year, apart from a few christmas decorations in December. It’s nice to mark the passing of the months, the changes we see in nature, and then reflect this in our home.

With all the ‘hoo ha’ of the move, the house had got a little neglected. So this was a lovely way for me to give it a little spruce and style to one area.

As it gets colder at this time of year, we still enjoy going out for a walk – or in Bailey’s case… a run around.  A day without getting some fresh air, just doesn’t feel right. However, what I enjoy even more is coming back home, popping the kettle on, snuggling under a blanket on the sofa and either watching an old movie or reading a good book. Bliss.

You can join in too, on Instagram or Facebook. Just use the #stylingtheseasons, and tag Katy and Charlotte. Just simply pick one surface or area in your home, and style it to reflect what ever that specific month means to you. Hope you have fun playing, and making a little corner of your home look pretty. I know I did. Maybe Novembers Styling the Seasons will be in our new house… eek…!!
